Jim Brilliant: Guiding Our Firm Since 1987
January marks Jim Brilliant's work anniversary with Century Management and we want to take a moment to recognize the many contributions he has made that continue to shape our firm in meaningful and lasting ways.
Jim joined Century Management Financial Advisors in January 1987, and over the years has become one of the firm’s principals and a guiding force behind our investment discipline and culture. His impact has been felt across nearly every part of the organization—from stock analysis and portfolio management to strategic direction, and the mentorship of the next generation of investment professionals.
Today, as CFO and Co-Chief Investment Officer, Jim provides steady leadership across our investment strategies and macroeconomic framework. His perspective is independent, thoughtful and grounded in experience. He has a rare ability to pair intellectual depth and discipline with practical judgment, helping ensure decisions are made with clarity and with our clients’ best interests always at the center.
Just as important as Jim’s technical knowledge is how he leads. He consistently puts the interests of others first—clients and colleagues alike—without compromise. His integrity is beyond reproach, and through his example he helps carry forward a culture of trust, loyalty, and mutual respect that defines who we are as a firm.
Jim has also been a generous mentor, investing time and energy in young analysts and portfolio professionals, helping them develop both skill and judgment. That influence continues to shape Century Management and will for years to come—through the people he mentors, the culture he reinforces, and the example he sets.
Thank you, Jim, for your decades of dedication, your principled leadership, and the standard you continue to set.
